We are a club dedicated to fly fishing. Our members are involved in all facets of the sport: casting, rod building, fly tying and conservation.
For more than 20 years the CFF has been one of Oregon’s premier organizations for fly fishing enthusiasts. Experienced fly fishers, newcomers to the sport, and those new to Oregon will find a home in the CFF.
The club offers a wide range of activities and educational opportunities. If you want to learn to build a rod, we can show you how. If you’re interested in fly tying, we offer monthly fly tying demonstrations and instruction. If you want to hear from notable experts, our monthly meetings typically feature an interesting and knowledgeable speaker. Or, if you just want to fish, the club offers a variety of outings throughout the year. And, as you might imagine, there’s no shortage of fishing stories.
We encourage anyone who is interested, or who would just like to find out about fly fishing, to attend one of our meetings or drop in on a fish-a-long. We are a friendly group.

I also attended the March meeting last night and walked away knowing it was a group I could support & get involved with. I am a newcomer to fly fishing(sorry I didnt retain what you taught me, Dad! LOL)
and could have easily felt WAaaayyyy out of my league with such a seasoned group, but I didnt get that impression at all. Its extremely hard when you have an interest and there is no way to learn, seriously!
I tried an all-women’s club and they were not into mentoring or encouraging the sport to others outside their club…; it was a very tight group of friends I soon realized who fished a lot with their own and wore all Orvis to impress the fish I guess? Whatever.
Anyway, Im pumped to get out there and fish!
Linda Becker was sweet to give me her email address and encourage me right away with a follow-up text last night. “Mr. Red” was also fun to sit next to and chit-chat with(smile).

I’m a new member and look forward to when its once again safe to have meetings. I’ve spent the last 5 months in my backyard practicing several types of casts and feel ready to hit the water once the fires are out.
I am in the same situation. Hope I can meet others soon.
I am a 73 year old enthusiastic outdoor person and am new to fly fishing and lake trolling. I am looking forward to meeting others and am open to going with others to sharpen my skills. Always interested in tagging along and watching others as well. I have all equipment including a motorized fishing pontoon boat and have gone to a few lakes and tried some trolling. Love to talk to others during this pandemic period. Has anyone thought of having virtual meetings on Zoom?
